REIKI
Reiki is a Japanese healing practice. It is gentle and the results are powerful. During a Reiki session, the practitioner applies light touch in order to activate the body’s own natural healing processes. Disease occurs in the body when the energy channels - or meridians - are blocked. Reiki helps to move the life force - or Qi - to move, which is effective both physically, emotionally and mentally. Trauma can be woven into a person’s experience through this work and when that happens instead of manifesting in the body as a chronic symptom, autoimmune disease or other challenge.
During a session, the client remains completely clothed. Essential oils can be used to heighten the healing results of the session. Typically the session occurs while the client is lying down, but the work can also be facilitated while the client is sitting in a chair and when Eileen has Reiki sessions with toddlers, she follows their movement around the room and works on them while they play. (There are plenty of different toys at the office to keep them occupied). :) Eileen has worked on newborns - the youngest was five days old - through folks into their 90’s. There are no limitations based upon age or ambulatory status.
Diagnoses and symptoms Reiki has been known to help with include, but are not limited to anxiety, depression, PTSD, cancer, digestive issues - IBS, IBD, reflux and pain management - chronic pain, migraines and headaches, allergies and sensitivities and insomnia.
The nervous system is at the root of all that goes on in the body. Giving the nervous system, relaxation and restoration will help with absolutely any issue or challenges in someone’s body and life.
Eileen is a Reiki Master, which means she has the ability to give attunements to others so they, too, may become a practitioner, even if it is just so they can perform self-care. If you are interested, just ask! Distance sessions are also available for those not located nearby, or those not able to drive. Hospital and home visits can be facilitated to anyone who is local.
